We will be offering the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) at the Muncie Fire Training Center for applicants free of charge as well as accepting current valid CPAT cards.

About the Department

     The Muncie Fire Department serves to protect the lives and property by reducing the effects of fire and by responding to medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, technical rescue emergencies, and disasters.

     Our department provides a proactive, highly trained professional service for the City of Muncie by conducting fire prevention, fire inspections, fire investigations, fire safety education, fire suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue response, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities.

     We actively participate in our community, serving as role models and striving to utilize all available resources at our command effectively and efficiently in order to provide services deemed excellent by our citizens.
